Work well in most situations

I have a few disc brake bikes and prefer to use these rather than zip ties since they look cleaner and can be removed without cutting them. Most of the cable braze ons work with these, but on my girlfriend's Cannondale CAADX they don' t and I had to use zip ties. Not all braze on's are the same so these might not work in certain situations. On the bikes that I was able to install them on, I have never had one fail or come off.

Pros: cleaner look than zip tie
removable/resuable

Cons: wont work on all bikes

They work well, and are nice looking but these little buggers cost too damn much for what they are. Not sure i'd use them over zipties again.

Don't bother.

This product is unfortunately pretty pointless. I thought they would be a great alternative to zip-ties, but I had to stretch them so much to get them to snap on, I doubt I'll actually be able to reuse them more than once before they'll break in half. Also, unlike zip-ties, there is no way to adjust the tightness of the fit, and on my frame they don't hold the brake hydraulic line tightly at all -- it actually flops around a bit.

So, if they're not adjustable, probably not reusable, and less secure than zip-ties, then zip-ties are (unfortunately) still the better solution. As for people saying zip-ties have sharp edges, if you trim the zip-tie with a razorblade, there will be no exposed edge to scratch you.

Pros: Reusable, in theory.

Cons: Doesn't hold tightly, probably not actually reusable.

Much better alternative to zip ties - no scratchy end pieces to catch you. Just snap on and you are done. The fit isn't as tight as a zip tie but it seems to hold things plenty tight.

Removal is also easy - no tools needed.

Pop on - pop off. Easy.

Great helpers.

Make going disc mechanical using full length housing very easy, and makes replacing housing easy too.

Pros: Makes replacing housing every year a little easier with these swappable guides.

Cons: none.

Holds cables scarily in place.

These things are much better than using zip ties.

The zip ties snag on clothing and can have shares edges that can scrap you up. These hold securely to the frame braze ons and don't fall off over rough terrain.

They can also be removed and reused if needed.

The are a little expensive but they are well worth it if you like your bike to have a clean finished look and you don't like zip ties all over your bike.

Pros: Securely holds cables, clean finished look, don't snag on your clothes like zipties, reusable if needed

Cons: None

Pricey pieces of platic

When you calculate the cost of these per piece, it comes out to $1.50 pre clip. That's pretty pricey when you compare them to the less expensive alternative of simple zip ties. They, however, look aesthetically cleaner than zip ties to secure cable and housing.

Pros: clean look

Cons: expensive per piece

Work great for machined cable guides on your frame. These clips are strong, and actually take a little work to get off once you have them installed. You never have to worry about them popping off while riding. Perhaps a bit pricey for plastic clips, but they are reusable and should last forever. Zip ties may be cheap, but you can only use them once.

Really necesary?

It's a good clip, holds well, never comes off but for the price zip ties would do. If you are into matching everything on your bike get them but if on a budget these are not a necessity zip ties work fine for a fraction of the cost.

Pros: Last a long time, hold well and reusable

Cons: Zip ties work just as fine, cost.

I like these because they look cleaner in some locations on the bike than zip ties.

Pros: Easy to pop on

Cons: Pretty expensive for such a tiny bit of plastic that always breaks after being put on and off a few times.

Zip ties seem 'stone age' once you have tried these. Neat, low prifile sturdy attachment for cables without the wastage of using another ziptie everytime you want to remove a cable, clean around the cable or make an adjustment. Simply snap them on and off. Very secure if have good quality machined guides on your frame.

Pros: Easy to use, neat, cheap.
Wont snag or scratch like cable tie ends do.

Decent product

These will clean up the look of your cable routing and give it a very professional look. They dont work as well as plain old zip ties but look much cleaner and dont leave the somewhat sharp ends that zip ties do after cut off the extra length. However, I did have a number of these pop off the mount. Not completely off the bike, but just one side popped out and thus the cable came out of the mount along the frame. They dont stay on as well as I'd have liked. I would guess this may be different for different frame routing designs
I would say unless you are uber anal about a clean looking bike, (as I am up to the point that something doesn't work), just use zip ties. But these aren't totally bad if you dont want to go that route.

Pros: Cheap
Look good

Cons: Dont stay clipped on as well as I thought they would.

Easier and cleaner looking than zip ties. They hold pretty tight, I have to use a small screw driver to get them off.

quick and simple to use, but didn't hold on for long in certain locations on some frames. Being able to easily reinstall them is handy when you have to change cable. I switched to small zip ties in high stress spots where the cable or hose wants to pull away from the frame because they held without failure unlike the c-clips

If your frame supports the use of these then use them! They are much easier to deal with than zip ties and look a whole lot better too. Never had one come off; have to use a screw driver to pop it off when changing cable housing.

Pros: simple and effective

Cons: none

Jagwire C Clip Cable Guides

I used these on a carbon nomad frame. They didn't work at all. I don't know if it was because of the paint on the carbon or what but they just popped off.
