Rock Shox Monarch/Vivid/Ario 3.2 Mount Kits

Easy to install but created a squeek on my shock. This was most likely due to a worn out eyelet busking.

Rock Shox Monarch mount kit

Great kit with no play or early wear of shock eyelet bushings after long use, whereas my Fox kits would wear the bushings within a couple of months

Pros: Nicely constructed with anodized parts.

nice spacers

Nice quality spacers available in many sizes. These should work on any rear shock that have a standard 1/2" diameter DU bushing. Just make sure you order the correct size for your bike.

The o-rings on the spacers are a great touch to keep out unwanted debris.

Nothing really special about these except a better setup that FOX has IMO. They do what they are designed for. As long as you get the correct size. Double check before you buy. These have an o-ring on the inside that protects the factory DU Bushings which is always nice. Have been trouble free since installed.

Pros: Cost, build quality and machining.

Cons: Figuring out the right size. There are so many options!!!

Much nicer than Fox

Why can't fox make a mount kit like this too? The three piece design is great, and the fit and finish are excellent.

Allowed me to easily put my Monarch shock onto my wife's bike for very little $$ - I'm very glad Universal carries these.

My understanding is that there's no reason why you can't use these for your Fox shock too - they're the same size. But I'd make sure before you spend the money.

These mount kits do exactly what they're supposed to do. The tolerances are good, and the set that I received had rubber o-rings that provided a seal for the DU bushings in the shock.

Pros: Sealing, good tolerances

Good mounts

These mount kits are some of the best out there. A lot better than the "top hat" style you get from fox.

With shock mounts, tenths of a millimeter matter. These shock mounts are not as snug fitting as other mounts, which means they sit looser, and start to rattle after only a little wear.

Pros: Through mount causes less bushing wear than split mounts

Cons: Doesn't fit snugly with bushings and frame mounts

Best 1/2" eyelet bushings out

If you have a 1/2" eyelet on your shock(most Fox, Marzocchi, and all the dh/fr oriented RS products), these are the nicest mounts out there. I've tried the major brands, Marzocchi, Fox, and Manitou and these are the best. Strictly talking about traditional mounts w/DU bushings, not needle bearing setups. These have a super slick finish and nice rubber seals to keep the dirt out. They seem to offer a wider range of sizes and be in stock more than other brands. One of the cheapest to boot, you really can't go wrong w/these mounts. I run them with my ROCO and they work great.

Pros: -Cheap compared to others
-Nicer than more expensive mounts
-Slick coating to cut down on friction
-Nice rubber seal to keep dirt out

Very good build and tight tolerances. The cups have an oring on the inside that keeps them in place, and keeps the dirt out.
