Dia-Compe Tech 77 BMX Brake Levers

Price is right

These are the cheapest levers I could find to put on my kid's coaster-brake bike to get them ready to "graduate" to geared freewheel bikes. The quality was good, and I was not disappointed. I like that the lever is hinged so you don't have to remove grips for installation.

They also give good leverage for small hands.

Pros: cheap!

Cheap Quality

At $14 these are a bargain, possibly the cheapest mechanical lever on universal cycles. Nothing on the lever is flawed!
Doesn't have as many adjustments as the avid levers but at $14 you cant beat it!

great for a BMX rebuild

used these to rebuild my old BMX for my son. Good quality to price ratio.

Not pretty

These are not pretty, but they get the job done. Clamp diameter a little on the small side.

Old school feels good

I'm an old BMX rider and these levers feel like home. They're not the lightest. They're not the most pretty.
They work and they feel familiar. That counts when reaching for it in a hurry to avoid a car.


Pros: Cheap as dirt.
Feel familiar.
Work.

Cons: Not the best looking
Not the toughest
Not the lightest
