Worked well for about 2 years I have had one of these for about 3 years. Over the last year, it would intermittently not pick up a signal from the sensor. Now it doesn't pick up a signal at all. I did ride it in the rain a lot.
Pros: The "buttonless" clicker is really convenient.
It has a lot of features. Cons: Short lifespan.
I bought one of these once for my tandem. The wireless signal doesn't reach to the rear handlebar. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 24, 2012 Reviewed by: Matthew S., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Planet bike computer excellent computer. has all the basic functions. I like the no button feture. Easy set up. Seem to be holding up well. Pros: easy set up, no buttons. Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 20, 2011 Reviewed by: Cory P., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
easy to read, but weak sensor mount The nice big text is good for my aging farsighted eyes. I could never get the sensor on the fork to sit still, though. I was always pushing it back into position after riding some rough section of trail, and eventually it got bounced into the spokes and crunched. I guess it wasn't really meant for XC. Still, if you're not planning to bounce over rocks and roots, it's a nice computer for the price. Reviewed on: June 06, 2011 Reviewed by: Jeff B., Virginia Was this review Helpful? love it, except the wheel magnet is just plain retarded, why is it so big and heavy? buy the cateye magnet as a replacement, worth the extra 3 bucks. the computer and wireless works great though. I drove through a few too many pacific north west rainstorm with the computer on my bike on the roof, and it finally caught up to me when water got under the screen. I destroyed the comp trying to dry it out in the oven, haha. I'll buy another one. Pros: cheap and does almost everything you want a bike computer to do, in style. Cons: not super water proof, the comp can also fall out of the holder a little easily. it rattled of my bike once when it was on the back of my friends truck.
