Control Tech Race-SL Wheel Skewers

Stripped pretty easily.

At first these seemed like a good choice as they provided a bit more security than quick release. However these are definitely more for bikes that are only being raced, trained on, or basically used recreationally. For more utilitarian uses like every day commuting they're not the best. They're extremely light and pretty well made, but they stripped pretty quickly on me. This most likely was because I put too much stress on them for what they're intended for.

Pros: Light, good tool for wrenching the skewer.

Cons: Stripped easily, not really for everyday use.

Very good product. Strong and light. Weight is as advertised. Key works well for application and removal. Key is very light. Combination is lighter then any other Skewer I have tried by 1/2.

Pros: Very light, strong,

Cons: more of a hassle to remove the quick release type.

This is the perfect lightweight option for anyone looking to drop every single gram off their machine.

They are simple to put on the bike/wheels and even simpler to take off.
