Perfect Winter fork Just needed a simple rigid fork to replace my vanilla during the winter, 29er fork worked perfectly as a replacement for my 140 mill travel vanilla, canti mounts for 26 or 29er set ups as well as IS disc tabs make it one of the most versatile options on the market. Works very nicely if you have a mid to long travel hard tail that youd like to fit with a rigid, helps maintain the geometry of a bigger fork while not forcing you to replace your 26 inch front wheel. Overall the fork is very stiff and tracks nicely, a little on the heavy side, but no heavier than any suspension fork it may thake the place of. Very easy installation and removal, fairly narrow crown makes pulling your crown race a breeze when you want to swap back to a suspension fork. Recommended to anyone who wants a rigid analog for their 140+ mm fork bud doesnt necessarily want to commit to a 29er wheel yet. Pros: Incredibly versatile, cheap, stiff, easy installation/removal Cons: a bit on the heavy side for a rigid Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 12, 2011 Reviewed by: Kevin, New York Was this review Helpful? Everything I expected Installation was a breeze. Quality construction and looks fantastic. This replaced a very low quality suspension fork and the bike handles great with this fork. A rigid 29er with ghetto tubeless soaks up all the bumps I need it to. Pros: Looks great, light, quality from top to bottom. Solid Steel Fork Definitely solid, and looks to be well made. The steer tube had a thin layer of rust to knock off, and the larger diameter lip for the crown race didn't have a chamfer to lead up to it. Other than that this thing seems nicely made. It looks like it could take a beating, and feels that way too. This fork weighs a ton! I think it's heavier than my suspension forks. Pros: Construction, graphics. Cons: Weight.
