I bought these to replace the rings on a shimano LX FC-M582 crankset. The rings that came on the crankset were covered with burs and never shifted well even when brand new. The large chainring would constantly catch the chain when shifting to the middle chainring, resulting in chain suck. No amount of cleaning and lubing my chain fixed this problem. These Blackspire rings fixed the problem instantly.
I put these on in January and have been riding them all season so far and shifting has been so much better than with the old LX rings. Crisp, smooth, and best of all, no more chain suck.
Pros: Light weight. Quality craftsmanship. Smooth, crisp shifting.
Cons: None that I have identified yet.
