Absolutely brilliant rear tire. I have 1000 miles on these total now. Almost never have the tire lose grip on even steep lose climbs, and have never lost traction in corners. That said, it's not great up front. Also, never had a Maxxis tire flat running tubeless either. Pros: Light, solid grip, nice! Cons: Not as light as an IKON, not good up front Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 28, 2013 Reviewed by: Ryan J. Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Good all conditions to dry tire. Fast rolling. Pros: Fast, grip Cons: Lowish volume Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 14, 2011 Reviewed by: Nicholas L. Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate

Maxxis crossmark 29er These are the best tires so far from Maxxis that I have used on the AZ loose over hardpack. They grip like a vise and were super easy to set up tubless with yellow tape and valves. Pros: work great on the AZ soil, loose and hard pack Cons: cost Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 08, 2010 Reviewed by: Chris E., Arizona Was this review Helpful? Very fast 29er tire for hardpack Great rear tire on hardpack. Stay away from it on mud/slush. Pros: Fast, fast, fast. Reasonable weight. Cons: Lack of traction on loose/wet conditions. Works great as a rear tire. I haven't tried it as a front yet. Pros: Sets up well tubeless.
Low rolling resistance. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 15, 2010 Reviewed by: Scott K., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Fast rolling, long wear tire. Sidewalls are a little weak, it's got good volume and decent weight. Has way more grip then it looks like it should, does good in all conditions. One of my favorite tires. Pros: Grip, $$, rolling resistance, long wear Cons: Weak sidewalls Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 02, 2010 Reviewed by: Daniel, Rhode Island Was this review Helpful?
