DT Revolution Spokes - Black

Great spokes for mtb wheels. I use another brand on road wheels for the aero aspect but these are a bit cheeper.
The weight is great and the price is reasonable. Since they are on the thin side, watch out for winding up a spoke while lacing.

I, knock on wood, still have to break one of this spokes. Make sure you clean the thread for prepping. They have stayed true with good tension when using DT nipples.

Great spokes

I have these laced to Hope hubs and Stans Crest Rims. Use the wheels for XC riding. I am 175lbs and have not had a problem with them. They lace up into a stiff but light wheel.

Pros: lightweight and strong

Cons: Need to watch out for wind-up

I'm a big guy at 240 lbs, and I run these on my tracer 29. I ride it hard/ all-mountain with no problems

Build the lightest AM wheel

These are my secret weapon on big mountain rides! My bike is big but pedals so well with a nice light set of wheels. Revs can be tricky to build as they wind up faster than 2.0/1.8 double butted spokes but if you're patient, the payoff is worth it.

I build them stiff and although I rarely have to true, I usually only get a season out of them before they start breaking at the head.

Pros: Super light!

Cons: Does require wheel building skills to get these dialed in.

Laced up Stans Alpha 340s with these

Pros: Light weight, Super stiff wheelset (32 Spokes). Wheel runs true minimal tuning required.

Cons: None

I build all my wheel sets with these spokes. Well, not my touring bike. They are really light and the ride quality is superb. Running butted spokes not only helps to keep the wheel true longer, but increases the ride quality compared to straight gauge spokes. Unless you need to carry a bunch of weight, these are the way go go. Worth the extra money if you are building with a nice hub and rim.

Pros: Light, strong, great ride quality

Cons: Not for heavy loads
