Kalloy SP-342 Uno Seatpost - Black

Great value post.

Mostly use this as a 'ghost post' now for working on bikes in the stand, but it has seen action on just about every 27.2 seat-tubed bike I own. Still looks brand new.

Pros: Value!

Cons: Don't care much for the seat rail mount, but it's hardly worth complaining about.

Great for the Price

Bought this for a hy-bred cruiser so it will not see any hard off road action but I am a big guy (6'6" 250lbs) It has been very good so far.

Pros: Price, sturdy, sizes available.....

Cons: None, so far

Ugly, but does the job.

I needed a seat post in a pinch. It works, but don't plan on winning any beauty contests with it.

Inexpensive, strong, gets the job done

This is a strong, inexpensive seatpost that works well once it's adjusted properly.

I moved to dual-bolt seatposts since, for adjustability, but while I had this one I didn't have any problems with it. I just wish the clamps was also black, the silver kind of sticks out.

The clamp is strong and holds the saddle well. The black finish is durable, but the finish on the silver clamp feels a bit cheap.

If you need a basic, strong replacement post that doesn't cost a lot you can't go wrong with this one.

Pros: Price.
Does the job.
Strong.

Cons: Cheap silver clamp finish.

Purchased this seatpost as a replacement for the stock one that came with my bike. Looking for something a little lighter, but with the same amount of strength, nice appearance, and not too expensive. This seatpost meets all those requirements.

Pros: Good value, nice appearance, strong.

Cons: None, really.

Workaday Seatpost

You'll see a lot of reviews for this post, because it does the job well--and does it at a great price. If you just need a seatpost that'll get you out on the road, here you go.

Folks will knock the weight on a post like this, but the thing you're really giving up by buying in this price range is adjustability. You basically just have a big clamp up there--it's set it and forget it, but setting it can be a hassle, and it may not be set as precisely as you want.

If you need better, look for something with micro- or infinite adjustment.

Pros: Strong. Cheap. Functional.

Cons: It's a basic post. You get what you pay for.

Strong post at a good price.

I'm a heavy rider and this is a strong post. Not a light post though. Kalloy always provides a great product at an excellent price.
