Chris King SS Cog These are quality made cogs. Could have some different colors available. Mine were a little loose and they weigh a lot more than aluminum. Pros: Quality and strength. Cons: Looks and weight Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 06, 2013 Reviewed by: bud m., Katy, TX Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Excellent Great cog. The wide base of the center cog aids in not chewing up the freewheel body the way thinner cog's do.
The solid construction works well with the 8 spd chain that I've been using but I feel it would work very well with a single spd chain as well. Pros: Solid, easy to clean, works very well with other parts Cons: None so far Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 06, 2012 Reviewed by: Jeffrey B., US Was this review Helpful? These stainless steel cogs are so well made just like everything else Chris King.
The only thing better than these would be titanium cogs, which would be much more expensive.
Just make sure you get the correct cog size for your apllication. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 30, 2012 Reviewed by: John, British Columbia Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Functional beauty. Still the best looking cogs around. It took a few good years on the SS to wear it out and then I flipped it around for another few years of service. (file the burs on the back of the teeth off when you do). Pros: Wear, looks, weight. These cogs are perfectly machined as you would expect from Chris King. There is no visible wear on mine after several years of solid use. I'm not sure I'll ever wear them out. Pros: Super durable, perfectly functional. Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 05, 2011 Reviewed by: Patrick, Australia Was this review Helpful? Just like all Chris King gear: top quality. Went down to the 16t and cut 15 minutes off my commute time: thanks Chris it must be the lighter weight. Pros: Bead blasted stainless will outlast any other cog out there, fine machining detail on the teeth and spline grooves Cons: Expensive of course, but probably cheaper in the long run Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 31, 2011 Reviewed by: Ryan F., Oregon Was this review Helpful? 17 Tooth Cog As one would expect, workmanship of any Chris King product is of the highest caliber. I've put a little over 1000 miles on this cog. Smooth and quiet with a Shimano 7801 10 speed chain. Pros: Workmanship

Chris king cogs Chris King cog design is a work of art. The strongest cog on the planet. I have riden Chris's cogs for years and they show no sign
of wear. I wonder how many thousands of miles they can handle. Buy one and it will last forever. Good Stuff! I have eyed these for a couple of years! Finally broke down and got one to replace an older worn out cog. I have used it all winter, and this thing shows little sign of wear. These are the best splined cogs you can get. Super high quality, light for stainless steel, will last forever, very round, and wont rust. What more could you want? They do cost a lot, but you will have them forever. I've been using a few of these on my single speed cross bike and I wouldn't use anything else. Pros: Very high quality, stainless steel, light for the material, super durable Cons: Expensive Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: December 12, 2010 Reviewed by: Brian K., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Bullet Proof can't go wrong with anything Chris King makes. these cogs are strong, light, and are the only cog I use for racing. Well Made Cog Chris King never seems to disappoint. You pay for the quality, but it's usually worth it. Nice singlespeed cog. Pros: Steel, construction, quality, name. Cons: Price? Insanely durable Short of spendy Titanium singlespeed cogs, the Chris King Stainless cogs is the bee's knees. Light and incredibly durable. I have an 18T that I have been running for nearly 3 seasons, and after a good cleaning you can hardly tell its used. The hardened stainless steel is up to all conditions. I'd advise anyone considering an alloy cog to put your weight-weenieness aside and spend the money on a King cog. There is a reason King stopped making alloy cogs. They wear crazy fast when the conditions get the slightest bit wet. This is an amazing product with a long life-span. Worth every penny and then some. Pros: durable, reliable, smooth, light (for stainless) Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 01, 2010 Reviewed by: Thomas L., Ontario Was this review Helpful? Another nice Chris King product. This cog has held up good and hasn't destroyed the aluminum cassette body on my Hope SS hub like other cogs have.
