These have worked well for me. One of the things that needs to be taken into account when using these is that, like all other skewers, they don't need to be tightened until you can't tighten anymore to work. In fact they shouldn't be tightened that far because that's when you end up stripping threads. I like them, they're definitely more secure than quick releases, and I actually think the tool design is nice. Pros: Security, ease of use Cons: Not 100% secure (but if someone wants your bike or a part of it enough, nothing is 100% secure). i use these on my road bike since i do a lot of city riding and have a nice wheelset i don't plan on losing. these really aren't the lightest options out there, but they are cheap, which i very much like. they probably won't stop a pro thief, but they provide a nice visible deterrent to the average joe thief. Pros: cheap, easy to use Cons: key is a little big and bulky. would have been nice if it was the size of a regular key to put on the keychain. You get what you pay for. Although these are a cheap way to make your wheels (reasonably) secure, the product has two major flaws.
First, the skewers can be loosened by any thief with a pair of vise-grip pliers. And second, the installation / removal tool is made from soft aluminum. It's very easy to strip it, especially if you're tightening down a rear wheel in horizontal dropouts. Once the tool is stripped, the skewers are junk. Luckily, your wheels can still be removed with a good pair of pliers. Pros: Cheap
More secure than hex key skewers Cons: Tool strips easily
