Nice chain. Works fine with my SRAM group.
I would buy again. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 17, 2012 Reviewed by: Matthew M., North Carolina Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Wipperman is now our preferred chain. Good price, seem to hold up well, run well, no problems yet. The chains seemed to have a great blend between weight, quality, price an durability. You shouldn't have any problems switching to this manufacturer from your bike's OEM chain.
Have put these on XC and road bikes and done many long rides with them with no problems. Pros: Quality, value, excellent chains Cons: None. Replaced Campagnolo chain for my Chorus/Record equipped roadbike. Considered Campy but didn't want to deal with the insane tools required for the link. Wipperman went on super easy and is really quiet. Can't comment on durability, yet. Pros: Easy to install. Campy compatible. Quiet. Cons: None yet...i'll reserve a star rating until i've used it a bit longer... Still going strong. After three cross seasons, this thing is still holding up. It hasnt' stretched much since it doens't get *that* many miles on it, but it shifts well and hasn't snapped like some SRAMS have on me.. Pros: shifts well, long lasting Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 17, 2011 Reviewed by: Thomas H., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
My application is demanding: a Raptobike Lowracer recumbent, front wheel drive, where the chain twists while steering and the distance over which it needs to bend onto extreme sprockets is rather short, the equivalent of short chainstays on a small wheel.
It has held up great to this and still shifts perfectly. Pros: Beautiful chain, shifts well even in my demanding application. Cons: Don't mistake it as fully rust proof. I once didn't dry it properly after a drenched ride and some rust spots appeared, although not on the outer plates if I recall. Great chain, easy to remove, easy to clean, and lasts pretty long. Pros: price
quick disconnect Cons: a brighter finish (like Campy chains)? Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 01, 2010 Reviewed by: Ryan S., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
