I was hesistant at first to try this product. I was afraid it would taste artificial and nasty as a lot of hydration products can tend to. The very nice man at the store assured me it didn't and I gave it a shot in the Tri Berry. I am really glad I listened to him. It doesn't taste awful and it did give me the boost I was looking for while on a long ride. I even plopped two of these tablets in my water bottle and as the ride progressed and my bottle was getting topped off, I still got the boost I needed at the end. This stuff is good.

This is a nice lightweight and tidy way to carry salts that I will actually drink when I'm out on the line. I've tried to carry baggies full of nasty sports drink powder, but they're fairly awkward to juggle after a long day -- there's nothing like not properly sealing a baggie and having it dump your nsd powder all over your handlebar bag -- but being able to just plunk a tablet into a waterbottle and wait a couple of minutes for it to dissolve and mix is so trivially easy to do I can do it when I'm staggering and about to fall asleep on the bike.

It's even more useful that most of the flavors are at least good. Water by itself gets kind of old after a while, and reguoar salty water is worse.
beng able to drink cola-flavored salt water is much nicer.

Excellent Hydration without the Sugar

I switched to Nuun because high sugar things give me an upset stomach while riding (especially the gels). I've had no issues with Nuun in all sorts of riding conditions. The only problem I've had is that in hot weather, I'll got though Nuun in no time flat. I actually ran out of it on a ride once because it goes down that easy.

The tablets are easy to drop into any water bottle or pack. You may need to break the tablets in half for small openings like narrow neck Nalgene bottles or Platypus bladders. Keep the tablets in a sealed container like the one it comes in. They can start to dissolve on their own if there is enough moisture in the air.

Get some samples to figure out which flavors you like. Some are good, some are bad. I like the lemon-lime and the orange.

Pros: Easy on the stomach

Cons: Some strange flavors

Really like the effervescense plus a nice light flavour. Really prefer compared to other sports drink, not so sweet so keeps you hydrated and balanced with electrolytes

Best tabs available

These tablets taste great and have a good balance of electrolytes and sweetness. I find myself drinking them as an alternative to water when I am not exercising.

Pros: Small form factor, easy to pack
Do not spoil if they are not exposed to moisture

Cons: Pressure will build up in your cycling bottle. be careful with your first sip. I have received a lungful of fluid more than once.

quick and easy to use.

I tend to use these on a after work ride in my small hydro pack.

Pros: Not too sweet

will not cause mold if left in a pack for too long.

nuun is an excellent hydration product. It has all the electrolytes I need without the sugar. I like to separate my carb intake from electrolyte intake and nuun allows me to do that. As long as I stay up on intake I don't have cramping problems. Consider using the single-serving tablets if you need to carry them on a ride.

Pros: Good flavor.
Allows user to separate carb intake from electrolyte intake.
Relatively inexpensive compared to competitors.
Dissolves well in water while still maintaining a "flat" drink.

Cons: Inconvenient packaging.
