Tough guards and will last for life!
I've tried couple other guards such as the MRP party crasher and one made by RaceFace. While they both worked fine, this Blackspire bashguard is just much more solid! The polycarbonate guards might be slightly lighter but they can crack at the mounting points over time. I expect this Blackspire guard to last a life time and it's really not that much heavier.
Pros: Tougher than nails. Solid and indestructable! Perfect size to cover my 36 tooth middle ring. Looks cool.
Cons: Slightly heavier than other guards.
