I bought this as a spare, but i now think the original one may NEVER wear out! These are reversible, so the lifespan can be increased by flipping it over, if you can get it off that is :)
Actually, removing them does require some skill and knowledge, but can be done with simple tools. I recommend doing a search on MTBR for some guidance.
Pros: Made of STEEL and it LASTS forever, you may NOT need to replace it.
Cons: well, in general, it's hard to remove Rohloff Cogs.
