Work well but check out your options

These guys work as advertised - they'll shim your headtube into a 1 1/8th fork. But check out all your options for making this work - this is a heavy weight solution. Lots of headsets out there that work just as well as reducers that weigh a lot less.

I don't recommend this only because there are other, better, alternatives to reducing HT size. IMHO anyway.

Pros: Good cheap alternative to reducing a 1.5 HT. Can use your existing 1 1/8 headset.

Cons: Puts on some additional weight probably where you probably don't want it.

Gets the job done and it is cheap.

Cons: A little on the heavy side but then how would they make it lighter!

Great Solution to another "Standard"

1.5" head tubes?!?!? Seriously, but I just bought a rad new 1 1/8" fork and King headset? This is what I was dealing with when I was ordering my bike. This little doodad absolutely saved my bacon. now my new-ish fork would fit into my newer frame, and I did not have to buy an expensive reduced headset to replace my very nice King Headset. I'm all for Stout builds but let's be honest and ditch the term "standard". ISO would be ashamed really. This thing works like a charm. I have had it in my frame with a King Headset pressed into it for 5+ years now.

Pros: light
Eat your heart out Tom Ritchey

Cons: Stack height? Maybe? if you really want to get caught up in all of that. jUst remember, it didn't used to matter.

work as intended. Sit reasonably deep [~ 20mm], some others are only ~ 10mm , so if you are after maximal strength these would seem to be it. Have put a CK steel headset into it and it is a very solid combination.
