Yes, lock rings can wear out when the wavy washer gets flat from over torquing.

This is a great replacement for shimano cassettes.

I bought this to replace the steel lockring that came with my bike.

Don't over-tighten it and you will have no problems.

Tons lighter than regular lockrings and perfect for weight weenies.

Timeless

This still worked on my wife's 1991 Trek. What more can you ask for than a product that is still produced 20 years later and works like it was original equipment

One finely machined piece right here. arguably better quality than any aftermarket "cool guy" lockrings. amazingly light and precise.

Pros: Dura-Ace.
Makes a nice wheel set look even better.
a few dollars less than after market lockrings.

Cons: none.

It's a lock ring it locks your cassete or spacer's in place. If your getting one for your single speed make sure you get the 12t ring. No need to buy any expensive lock ring these work just fine
