Old school product thats much needed. Comes pre greased. Works better than shimano. Pros: Smooth Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 16, 2012 Reviewed by: Jose A, CA Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
high quality I've used these on about a dozen builds and they've never let me down. Good travel, internal lube lasts longer than I'd expect. worth it over the generic noodles. Pros: idiot-proof and reliable Cons: A little pricey, but worth it. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 12, 2012 Reviewed by: Matthew W., Oregon Was this review Helpful? These are awesome. They don't come with the rubber grip in the image, but rather a really tiny one that mounts onto the end. I've never used that kind before, but it's way more effective for my brakes; less dirt gets caught up in the rubber end housing, so that's always good.
They go on easy and seem pretty easy to lube (and retain lube well). Pros: + Fancy for what they are, in my opinion. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 22, 2011 Reviewed by: Stephen B., Cary Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
works great. I ordered to use with my avid V brakes. The brakes came with two noodles but I used this one instead because it has the black logo and looks nicer. Pros: cheap and easy Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 16, 2011 Reviewed by: kelly g., Nevada Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Noodles are fairly simple & would appear to be hard to improperly design. Yes, non Avid ones will work just fine, but Avid/Sram steps it up a little. First the rubber end seal they use is not large so as to hit the opposite break arm & thus never gets in the way, but still seals this exposed end better than other rubber seals in my opinion. The other feature I love is the V-Brake crossbar end which tapers earlier so that you can run the brakes tighter without having to undue the caliper bolt to release the cable. Pros: Does the job other Noodles do, but does it better with more ease of use & a better seal Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 26, 2011 Reviewed by: Rene T., Manitoba Was this review Helpful? Works like a brake noodle should. Had them for years with no issues. They hold up to abuse well. The rubber cover slides off sometimes. Slide it back on and you're good. No complaints.
