Very good luck with these on 26" wheels

I have tried a wide variety of rim strips over the years, but I keep coming back to these FSA units for my ETRTO 559 (26") wheels. I have others I prefer for 700c higher pressure tires, but I find these are reasonably priced, good quality, durable, easy to install and remove, and very effective at up to 100 psi or so inflation pressure. They don't like double eyelet rims at higher pressure, but I have found that true of many other rim strips as well; for those I use Contis. And, last but not unimportant, they are pretty to look at; I don't know how much that matters for a part that almost nobody will ever see, but why would you want an ugly one?

Pros: Good quality
Reasonable price
Easy to install and remove
Durable

Cons: Double eyelet rims at high pressure can eventually wear thru these, although this is true of many other brands as well.

Be careful

These seem like they are made from some sort of nylon type material (I'm not sure exactly). They installed nicely and seemed to work great. However after about a year I started getting flats and after quite a number of flats I finally figured out that it was the rim strip. Overtime it had developed a sharp edge and slowly made a slit in the tube. This has happened on more that one rim strip, but always on the rear tire not the front. I am going to try Velocity Rim Plugs next time.

Pros: look good, fit tight

Cons: can cause a flat
