Worked great on RR1880 rebuild. Nice to be able to replace parts without tools (as per DT design). Went on easily, and good instructions online that help with process

Pros: Easy to replace.

Cons: None

I got the steel 240 freehub when I moved to a custom cassette made from loose cogs which would otherwise gouge into the stock aluminum freehub, and so far it has done that job well. Well machined and smoothly and cleanly fit all cassettes and cogs I test-installed

Caveat when installing: as I was warned by a DT Swiss technician, the steel freehub may come with a black aluminum dust cover over the right side bearing that makes it compatible with the FR hub. This cover needs to be removed in order to fit the 240 hub. This cover is stiff and was not easily removed on my freehub

Pros: high quality
durable

Cons: expensive
may require work to get it to fit

This review is for the DT Swiss 240S stainless steel freehub body. The standard aluminum freehub body gets chewed up by cassettes quickly. I replaced it with the stainless steel version and in two years of use, I have no cassette gouging on the freehub body. It's about two ounces heavier than the aluminum version, but the durabilty is worth it.

Pros: Durabilty

Cons: Very expensive.
